Tears of the Hero. Herald of Doom. The oldest story the Cuîrâvoshi possess — older than Ardhenith, older than the Hall of Sages, older than the order itself. Transcribed under artillery bombardment in fourteen-second intervals by Vaelōran, Sage of the Seventh Vault, Keeper of the Copper Cylinders, Last Transcriber of the Oral Canon. The text does not need us. We need the text. We need the act of transcribing it, because work is the only barrier between the mind and the abyss.

Vaelōran-yn Dôth-Aeth

Penned in the Lower Archives of Rálfinnëstora, in the three-hundred-and-twelfth day of the siege.

The siege engines struck the Paer-Tol at dawn again today. The fourteenth second between impacts has become the metronome of my existence — fourteen seconds of silence in which I can press the stylus to the copper, fourteen seconds of vibration in which the ink bleeds and the cylinder must be held steady against my chest.

What follows is the oldest story my people possess. It is a story about a boy who could hear the world dying and who could not make anyone listen. It is a story about a woman who died in a tunnel so that a city could float. It is a story about a sword that was made to outlast everything, and about the man who died making it, and about the question of whether an object that survives the destruction of its maker’s entire civilization is a triumph or an obscenity.

Aes sul-lyth ar aes hav-lyth vaelaeth. Aes ne brylthae-lyth cian.

She felt that she had lost something. She could not remember what.

The Ages of Mēkadhur

The Ī Tal Nē Dörî divides the chronicle of the Hédraiè into five eras, each a chapter in the planet’s argument against the universe’s insistence that nothing was ever here. The earth kept the receipts.

I

c. 14,700 – 14,200 YA

Vaet-Chronos — The Unflowing Time

Before the Architects, the universe did not remember. The pulse of Môr-Dhaer erased shelters, children, names. The Hédraiè existed not as a civilization but as a biological event — a species defined by the specific horrors that shaped their bodies. The Aelrynni climbed. The Ghôr-Vash spoke to stone. The coastal peoples ate what the Firth provided and did not build, because building required the confidence that the built thing would persist, and they did not have that confidence.

Groth ne sul-aeth thaeruir. Groth sul-aeth dhur. — The earth does not see behind. The earth sees below.

II

c. 14,200 – 12,700 YA

Erïdh-Caedhal — The Earth-Song

The era of the Fading Kings. Maelor built Mael-Oth on the Brégothuir cliffs — the first permanent settlement, held in existence by ten thousand minds staring at basalt walls in six-hour shifts. For twenty-two years it held. His son Aelthas was the first child in fourteen thousand years to grow to adolescence in the same room in which he was born. Then the Thaeruir-Kyn came — the gravitational eclipse — and the Cael-Raelith collapsed to zero. The boy became translucent. The father’s hand passed through the space where his son’s wrist had been. The fortress was unremembered. But the stone kept the ledger: thin, red, glassy veins of Crith-Dhur tracing the octagonal floor plans of a city the universe insists was never built.

The Dran-Vaethrith cadence: rise, hold, fall. It recurs seventeen times in the full text. The heartbeat of a species running the same program and crashing at the same line of code.

III

c. 12,700 – 12,500 YA

Na Crithyn Aeth Vyn-Tolar — The Chisel-Strike of Vyn-Tolar

He was not looking for the voice of god. He was looking for copper. Vyn-Tolar, a Ghôr-Vash stonemason, struck a vein of raw Caelryn at a frequency that locked into the planetary hum at a ratio of \( 5:4 \) — the Major Third — and the copper yielded. The standing wave reduced local gravity. The golden eyes manifested in one of every fourteen Hédraiè. The species bifurcated: the Aen-Káel rose. The Dhur-Käel remained on the ground. Vyn-Tolar died in his ravine, his chisel in his hand, his contribution complete, his name unremembered by the golden-eyed ones who used his mathematics to build an empire in the sky.

The Crith-Dhur vein in his ravine was deeper and redder than any formation the planet had produced before. The earth knows whose fingerprint it is. The earth has always known.

IV

c. 12,500 – 10,000 YA

Na Dran-Ith Aeth Na Aen-Káel — The Governance of the Sky-Bound

Lörash accreted — twelve concentric levitating rings above the Firth of Vôrnadh, sustained by the harmonic output of the Aen-Káel. The wards were not a service; they were a side effect. The Dhur-Käel populations clustered within the ward radius and experienced continuity for the first time: the most addictive substance in the pharmacology of a species that had spent fourteen thousand years without it. The dependency crystallized. The architecture chose. Cuirâvos, a mute stone-cutter, discovered that Dhur-Vellumin — a deep-earth mineral — stored vibrations permanently. He inscribed anchors that held the Cael-Raelith without singers, without golden eyes. He built the cage around himself so that he could operate beneath its floor.

Aer var-aeth na Dadhrón. Ni caedhal nael-aeth. Aen dôth-ryth na dhuroth cian. — You sing the world. A song ends. I will write the world in stone.

V

c. 2,260 YA – Present

Dör Dädholoth — The Great War

Lörash burned. The Fire Drake annihilated the floating city. From the ashes, two factions emerged: the Cuîrâvoshi, preservers who fled into the bedrock of Rálfinnëstora, guarding the Ardhenith against the decay of syntax; and the Nûrnic Alliance, the laboring castes abandoned to the fire, who scattered into the subterranean deeps, abandoned magic entirely, and forged GraveSteel siege engines. The Dör Dädholoth consumes the world. The siege engines strike the Paer-Tol every fourteen seconds. The copper cylinders are running out.

We are the People of the Forgotten Legends. We do not forget. That is the oath. That is the only oath that matters.

Thirteen Planets. One Dying Star. One Wound.

Mēkadhur is a hard-fantasy universe governed by strict thermodynamics, orbital mechanics, and a literal cosmic source code. Magic is not whimsical. It is mathematical manipulation of the universe’s timeline. The star Dhaeryn operates on a strict 13-year solar cycle. The galaxy is anchored — and consumed — by Môr-Dhaer, the Dark Heart.

13

Orbital Bodies

Mēkadhur is the 5th of 13 planets orbiting Dhaeryn. The system terminates at Aendhir, the Everdark Terminus.

13 yr

Dhaeryn-Aeth Cycle

The solar max unleashes Coronal Mass Ejections of pure Ne Cael-Raelith, lowering the cost of progressive magic.

\( \frac{7}{8} \)

Môr-Dhaer Pulse

The Dark Heart’s arrhythmic stutter — a seven-eight time signature, perpetually incomplete. The eighth beat never arrives.

Dhaeryn

Primary Star

The golden fire kindled by the Aeshtarí. Not mere illumination but a torrent of creative force — the echo of the original Song encoded in particles of light called Aethon. The raw medium of the Ne Cael-Raelith.

Jaeluin

Rogue Planetoid

An extra-galactic rogue captured by Môr-Dhaer. During Solar Max, solar winds burn its exosphere, raining active Crith-Dhur. During Solar Min, its dissonant gravity shatters tectonic plates and triggers an Extinction-Level Ice Age.

Môr-Dhaer

The Dark Heart

The wound in the fabric of the Song where Derthäia’s dissonance tore through. A silence that feeds upon sound. A gravity so absolute that not even the echoes of Illänutár’s voice can escape it. The engine of erasure at the center of the galaxy.

The Mathematics of Magic

Magic on Mēkadhur is not mystical. It is the mathematical manipulation of the Cael-Raelith — the Harmonic Lattice — through focused biological intention. The universe operates under a hard thermodynamic ceiling. Every spell is an equation. Every equation balances, or reality rejects the calculation.

The universe has a hard thermodynamic cap. Every quantity of matter is expressed as a Basis Weight \( w \in \mathbb{Z},\; 0 \le w \le 10{,}000 \). The Tabulature is the complete registry of these weights. It is not a metaphor. It is the integer manifold upon which reality is compiled:

\[ \mathcal{T} \;=\; \bigl\{\, w \in \mathbb{Z} \;\bigm|\; 0 \le w \le 10{,}000 \,\bigr\} \]

Ne Cael-Raelith
The Harmonic Lattice

The ambient field of creative potential permeating Mēkadhur. A second atmosphere layered atop the first, invisible, intangible, real. Maintained by the continuous influx of Aethon from Dhaeryn. Observation generates localized resistance to the pulse of the Dark Heart. The act of looking at a thing is a tiny, temporary act of anchoring — a declaration that this thing exists.

\[ f_{\text{lock}} = f_{\text{planet}} \times \frac{5}{4} \quad \text{(Major Third)} \]

GraveSteel
The Buffer Overflow

Forged by the Nûrnic Alliance. Mechanically compressed until its Basis Weight is exactly 10,000 — acoustic frequency 0.00 Hz. It occupies the mathematical ceiling of reality. A single point of arcane energy applied to it overflows the universe’s buffer, causing the spell to violently shatter.

\[ w_{\text{GS}} = 10{,}000 \implies f = 0 \;\text{Hz} \implies \text{MAGIC\_IMMUNE} \]

Crith-Dhur
The Memory Leak

The physical byproduct of Temporal Dissonance. When an Arcanist attempts temporal manipulation without an exact chronological anchor, reality rejects the calculation. The unhandled temporal exception solidifies and falls out of the weave as Crith-Dhur — Vrok-Aen — vibrating at a \( \frac{7}{8} \) time signature, physically out of step with the 13 Hz world-beat.

\[ f_{\text{Crith}} \sim \frac{7}{8} \times 13 \;\text{Hz} = 11.375 \;\text{Hz} \quad \text{(Dissonant)} \]

∴

Dhur-Vellumin — The Planet’s Native Storage Medium

A naturally occurring copper-silicate of extraordinary density found in the deep mantle. Unlike copper, which retains vibrations temporarily, Dhur-Vellumin stores them permanently — without decay, without degradation, without the entropic loss that every other material imposes. A chisel-strike inscribed in Dhur-Vellumin vibrates at the exact frequency of the original impact, forever. The stone does not sleep. The stone does not die. The stone does not require golden eyes to write upon it.

The Voice of the World

The Cael-Raelith is not a uniform field. It varies from location to location, moment to moment. At any given point, the local Lattice has a unique harmonic profile. A stonemason working copper in a ravine was, whether he knew it or not, performing a continuous acoustic handshake with the local harmonic environment. Every chisel-strike produced a sound. The sound interacted with the Lattice. The interaction produced a response. The response was available to anyone who could hear it.

Acoustic Principle Mathematical Expression Physical Manifestation
Planetary Hum (Erïdh-Caedhal) \( f_0 = 6.9 \;\text{Hz} \) Sub-audible tectonic vibration. The sound of a world arguing with itself.
Harmonic Lock (Crith-Dadhrón-Yl) \( f_{\text{lock}} : f_0 = 5 : 4 \) The Major Third. The standing wave that reduced local gravity.
Aen-Káel Activation \( t_{\text{activation}} = 11 \;\text{s} \) Neural reconfiguration. Brown irises flood gold. Root access granted.
Carrier Frequency \( P(\text{carrier}) = \frac{1}{14} \approx 7.14\% \) One in fourteen Hédraiè carry the mutation. Binary: yes or no.
Perceptual Anchoring \( \tau_{\text{Maelor}} \approx 72 \;\text{hr} \) Maximum sustained perceptual field. Unprecedented. Pathological.
Crustal Resonance \( f_{\text{crust}} = 13 \;\text{Hz} \) The Master Tempo. All rhythmic systems derive from this.
Dark Heart Pulse \( \frac{7}{8} \) time signature Perpetually incomplete. The eighth beat forever anticipated, forever withheld.
Song Decay (Heterodox) \( A(t) = A_0 \cdot (1 - \epsilon)^{t/T} \) The feedback loop is imperfect. The recycling loses energy at each iteration. The Song is dying.

Two Peoples. One Ruin.

Both factions were born from the ashes of Lörash, which was annihilated by the Fire Drake 2,260 years ago. The world is consumed by the Great War. There is no neutral ground. There is only the question of what you are willing to burn to survive.

◆

The Cuîrâvoshi

The Preservers

Survivors who fled the destruction of Lörash. They built the fortress-city of Rálfinnëstora deep in the bedrock to ensure they would never burn again. A monastic order of absolute preservation.

They guard the Ardhenith — the High Tongue — fiercely, because drifting vowels or softened consonants in the language of creation could cause the universe’s syntax to decay and unravel reality.

Doctrine: Speak with orthodox reverence. Treat deep time and memory as sacred. View the Nûrnic Alliance as tragic, corrupted heretics who have abandoned the Song of the World.

✦

The Nûrnic Alliance

The Inheritors of Ruin

The laboring castes abandoned to the fire by the royals during the fall of Lörash. They scattered into the subterranean deeps and integrated with the Kràshnikh clans. They abandoned the Tûradh-Valar entirely, viewing magic as the hubris that destroyed their ancestors.

They rely purely on mechanics, metallurgy, and GraveSteel siege engines. They employ the Hîth-dü-Nârn — The Silent Vanished — to wage psychological and chemical espionage.

Doctrine: Speak with brutal pragmatism and cold, mechanical calculation. View magic as a rot. The goal: the complete annihilation of the surface kingdoms.

A World That Weighs More Than Yours

Mēkadhur is not a fantasy set-dressing. It is a deterministic physics simulation. The bones of the world were never still. The Aeshtarí wrought, and Derthäia unwrought, and the evidence of that striving is not ancient history. It is the present tense. To breathe is to drink the dregs of creation. To stand upright is to feel the full measure of Ané’s First Note pressing down upon the spine.

13 Hz

Crustal Resonance

The lithosphere’s fundamental frequency. The Master Tempo of the world. Silence is never truly silent; it is 13 Hz.

1.07g

Surface Gravity

\( g = 10{,}480 \) basis points. Heavier than the Old World. The spine curves. The ankles thicken. The body becomes a monument to endurance.

1.2 atm

Atmospheric Density

20% denser. Sound carries further. The air is heavy — sulfurous, copper-laced, ionized, thick enough to taste on the back of the tongue.

The 13-year climatic pendulum governing the economic and tactical landscape of Mēkadhur. The BDO Index ranges from \( -10{,}000 \) (Lumi-Vael) to \( +10{,}000 \) (Lumi-Dhur) basis points:

Lumi-Vael

Ascendant Silence. Solar Max. Hyper-stratified waters. High Aetheric conductivity. The cost of progressive magic drops.

Lumi-Dhur

Descendant Roar. Tectonic Syncopation. Geothermal upwelling. Volatile magic. Hyper-Monsoons.

Jaeluin Syncopation

Solar Max: rains Crith-Dhur. Solar Min: shatters plates. Extinction-Level Ice Age.

Tectonic Determinism: Earthquakes are not random. They are driven by Dissonance Entropy \( S_{T_0} \) — a hash of all player causality chains at a specific epoch. When the world shakes, it is a direct consequence of the Accord being strained. The Universe is reconciling the ledger.

World Topology Interface

The cartographic uplink will surface hex-array projections, Crith-Dhur mausoleum traces, regional lineage overlays, and collapse-state topography once the Codex map pipeline is bound into the archive. The earth keeps the receipts. This interface will read them.
